Conference Center Program Staff! Program
Staff are paid hourly and assist the Conference Host with leading
programs ranging from hayrides to campfire and much more! Work is
available on the weekends and some weekdays. We will
provide all necessary training for routine camp activities. (Staff
with Lifeguard certifications preferred.)
Job Duties
General
Function: The
Retreat and Conference Center Program Staff is responsible to provide
quality programs to participants at the Wisconsin Lions Camp.
Qualifications: Has a love for people
and a desire to see them grow physically, mentally and socially. Has read and is in
agreement with the Wisconsin Lions Camp’s Rules and Procedures. Can relate well with
people and an ability to make them feel welcome. Is flexible and able to
work with rental groups and other staff. Able to work with
little supervision. Ability to remain
on-site for the duration of the retreat. Lifeguard / CPR / First Aid
certification preferred. Responsibilities: Responsibilities
vary depending upon the group involved.
Duties can include: aquatic
supervision (with Lifeguard certification), campfire skits and songs,
cross-country ski instruction, hay rides (with Driver training), nature
hikes, night hikes, snowshoe instruction, etc. The base salary for a Retreat and Conference Center
Program Staff starts at $6.50 per hour with additional pay increases are
available based on certifications, experience and years of service. Other

Facilitators
Come join our team of talented
teambuilding facilitators! The Wisconsin Lions Camp provides a wide
variety of experiential teambuilding programs to a diverse population
of participants. We serve youth, college students, adult and corporate
groups with personal and team development programs throughout the
year. We are looking for motivated,
creative individuals with demonstrated leadership abilities, solid
interpersonal skills and an interest in the field of experiential
education. Sense of humor - a must.
Experience is preferred, but we
will train all qualified applicants in facilitation of Initiatives,
Low Ropes, Climbing Towers, High Ropes and other experiential
education activities. Build your skills in group facilitation!
Positions are available year-round. Job Duties General
Function: To oversee and implement Ropes Course
programs at the Wisconsin Lions Camp.
The primary responsibility for all Teambuilding Staff is to ensure
the mental, emotional and physical safety of all program participants. Qualifications: Current certification in CPR and First Aid. Completion of Secondary Facilitator
training. Ability to attend the Facilitator Training and the
annual Facilitator Refresher session. Responsibilities: Arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the start
of the program and attend the Facilitator Meeting. Assist with set up of necessary equipment and
courses for the group prior to their arrival. Be positive in program presentation.
Provide participants with safe, fun, valuable,
positive, team-centered experiences.
Assist with take down and storage of equipment
after the group’s departure. Contribute to the debriefing and documentation
processes after each group. Properly document any incidents or maintenance
problems that need to be addressed. Participate in training sessions to develop and
practice critical skills. Participate in annual program and staff evaluations
to allow the Wisconsin Lions Camp to constantly improve both its
facilities and its service. Help to develop new ways to further the success of
the Teambuilding Program. Salary and Benefits:
Varies depending on experience. Notes:
Facilitators who are new to Wisconsin Lions Camp
will NOT be paid for their initial training program. Facilitators who have worked with Wisconsin Lions
Camp WILL be paid for any additional training necessary to keep their
skills current.

typically in process for three weeks, involving application review
and an interview with Lions Camp staff members. Interviews can be
conducted either by phone or in person, depending on convenience.
