Ways to HelpThe Wisconsin Lions Camp is funded by the many generous donations made each year to the Wisconsin Lions Foundation, Inc. Each camper week that is provided free-of-charge costs just under $600.00. In 2008, thanks to the generosity of all of many donors, we were able to serve 1,451 campers free-of-charge. These donations help us provide the “adventure of a lifetime” to Wisconsin children and adults with disabilities. A majority of our funds are raised by the Lions, Lioness and Leo Clubs of the State of Wisconsin who run many of their own fundraisers in their local communities to send money to support the Camp. Other donations come from private donors, families, friends, grants and the three annual fundraisers the Wisconsin Lions Foundation holds. You can help by visiting the Wisconsin Lions Foundation to learn more and make a donation or by participating in one, two or all three of our annual fundraisers.
13th Annual Birch-Sturm Golf OutingThis is a golf outing we hold to benefit the Wisconsin Lions Foundation’s general operations, which funds the Wisconsin Lions Camp. It will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Glacier Woods Golf Course in Iola, Wisconsin. You can help us with sponsorships for the Outing. There are two levels of sponsorship.
For more information on how to register or to become a sponsor, please contact the Wisconsin Lions Foundation.
Deer Hides for CampThis project started in 1991with an idea from one of our current directors, Director Bernie Stuttgen from Thorp. It started out small, but now we have many areas around the state collecting deer hides for Camp. There are several Lions Clubs participating in the collection of the hides. Below is the history of the hide collection project, with our totals to date of $275,618.25 from the deer hide project. 1991-97 5,442.001998-99 4,185.501999-00 8,791.252000-01 7,860.002001-02 8,725.502002-03 18,056.252003-04 32,038.752004-05 36,892.002005-06 40,476.002006-07 51,692.002007-08 61,459.00
